Loredana Cavicchini
Dear Lory,
We are deeply shaken and saddened by your unexpected and premature demise.
To us, you were much more than an esteemed colleague. Besides always having been fair, available, and ready to help, you were a dear friend with whom to share daily joys and challenges. For so many years you spread your smile and your kindness and today, that we miss you so much, we understand even more how important and precious you have been for us.
Now that you are no longer physically with us, we seek comfort in memory of the pleasant and special times we shared with you: the small achievements after a successful experiment, our lunch breaks and the coffee breaks sweetened by your delicious cakes.
Anyone who worked with you – including scientific collaborators, who in these days remember you as an esteemed colleague, and students who have always thanked you in their dissertations for the inestimable help you gave them in the laboratory – could not help appreciating you.
Through these few words, we want to share how much you meant to us all with your loved ones. To Federica, Alice, Michele, Paola and your mother we send our warmest embrace so that they can find peace and serenity in your memory.
