On the occasion of World Malaria Day 2026, promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Italian Society of Parasitology (SoIPa) launched a social media awareness campaign dedicated to malaria research.
Universities and research institutions from across Italy contributed short outreach videos in which researchers shared their work and their daily commitment to combating this disease.
ParVirLab, University of Milan, also took part in the initiative through the contributions of Abirla, Aline (a PhD student from Fiocruz University, Brazil, visiting our laboratory), Estefanía, and Federica, who shared their experiences in malaria research.
