This year&#8217;s theme is \u00abHarness innovation to reduce the malaria disease burden and save lives\u00bb, aiming to highlight that progress in malaria elimination has been stalled in the last years. Sustained investment and political commitment are urgently needed to reach the 2030 WHO\u2019s goals of the global malaria strategy. It includes new vector control measures, diagnostics and antimalarial medicines to get back on track against this deadly disease.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/campaigns\/world-malaria-day\/2022\">https:\/\/www.who.int\/campaigns\/world-malaria-day\/2022<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Italian Society for Parasitology<\/strong> and the <strong>Italian Malaria Network<\/strong> celebrate the World Malaria Day with the on-line event \u00abInnovation in malaria control and innovation tools\u00bb (May 5<sup>th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>25th Aprile 2022 Today is the World Malaria Day, first instituted in 2007 by WHO Member States.
